Experience greater freedom and comfort during CPAP therapy with the ResMed AirFit F30i Full Face CPAP Mask. Featuring an innovative under-the-nose cushion and top-of-the-head tube connection, the AirFit F30i keeps the CPAP tubing away from the front of your face, giving you greater freedom to move and change sleeping positions during the night.
Unlike traditional full face CPAP masks that cover the bridge of the nose, the AirFit F30i uses a compact cushion that seals underneath the nose and around the mouth. Its minimal-contact design provides a wider field of vision while helping reduce pressure and red marks around the nasal bridge.
Why choose the ResMed AirFit F30i?
- Top-of-the-head tube connection – keeps the CPAP tubing away from the front of your face and allows greater freedom of movement during sleep.
- Under-the-nose cushion – seals beneath the nose and around the mouth without covering the nasal bridge.
- Minimal-contact design – full face therapy with less facial coverage than most traditional full face masks.
- Wide field of vision – easier to read, watch television or wear glasses before going to sleep.
- 360° rotating elbow – lets the CPAP tubing move freely as you change position.
- Quick-release elbow – disconnect from your tubing without removing the whole mask.
- Flexible hollow frame – therapy air flows through the mask frame to the cushion.
- Magnetic headgear clips – quick, one-handed attachment and removal. Please read the magnet safety information below.
- Genuine ResMed product – designed for compatible CPAP and bilevel therapy systems.
AirFit F30i vs F40 vs F20
All three are full face masks. The difference is where the cushion sits and where the tube connects.
| AirFit F30i | AirFit F40 | AirFit F20 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cushion position | Under the nose | Under the nose | Over the nose |
| Tube connection | Top of the head | Front of mask | Front of mask |
| Size | Compact | Smallest | Standard |
| Best for | Active sleepers, tube drag | Minimal contact, discreet | Widest fit range, higher pressures |
The F30i is the only one of the three that routes the hose over the top of your head, which is why it suits people who turn a lot, sleep on their front, or find the hose pulling on the mask during the night.
AirFit F30i or AirTouch F30i Clear?
Both masks use the same conduit frame and top-of-the-head tubing. The AirTouch F30i Clear swaps the silicone cushion for a ComfiSoft fabric cushion and a transparent frame, which is worth considering if silicone marks or irritates your skin.
Under-the-nose full face cushion
The AirFit F30i cushion sits underneath the nose while sealing around the mouth, providing the benefits of a full face CPAP mask without covering the bridge of the nose.
This design helps provide a more open field of vision and can help reduce pressure and red marks on the nasal bridge associated with some traditional full face masks.
Top-of-the-head CPAP tube connection
One of the key features of the ResMed AirFit F30i is its top-of-the-head tubing design.
Instead of connecting the CPAP hose directly in front of your face, the AirFit F30i routes therapy air through its hollow frame and connects the tubing at the top of the head.
The rotating elbow allows the tubing to move as you change sleeping position, helping keep the hose away from your face and chest.
Who is the AirFit F30i suitable for?
The ResMed AirFit F30i Full Face CPAP Mask may be suitable for CPAP users who:
- require a full face CPAP mask
- breathe through their mouth during sleep
- prefer an under-the-nose cushion
- dislike having a mask covering the bridge of their nose
- change sleeping positions during the night
- prefer their CPAP tubing to connect at the top of the head
- want a wider and less obstructed field of vision
Correct mask selection, fitting and sizing are important for comfort and for maintaining an effective seal.

ResMed AirFit F30i size guide
The AirFit F30i is sized by cushion and frame together. The frame size is determined by your head, and the cushion size by your nose and mouth — so a small frame paired with a larger cushion is a normal combination, not an error.
We stock the following combinations:
- Small cushion with Small frame
- Small cushion with Standard frame
- Medium cushion with Standard frame – the most commonly ordered combination
Because the F30i cushion sits directly underneath the nose rather than over the nasal bridge, please do not assume your size from a traditional full face mask such as the AirFit F20. If you are unsure or between sizes, contact us before ordering and we will talk it through.
How to fit the ResMed AirFit F30i
- Position the AirFit F30i cushion comfortably underneath your nose.
- Pull the headgear and frame over your head.
- Bring the lower headgear straps underneath your ears.
- Attach the magnetic clips to the corresponding frame connectors.
- Adjust the upper straps evenly until the mask feels secure and comfortable.
- Adjust the lower straps evenly without overtightening.
- Connect the elbow and CPAP tubing at the top of the frame.
- Start your CPAP therapy and check the mask for significant leaks.
Avoid overtightening the headgear. The mask should be secure enough to maintain an effective seal while remaining comfortable.

Important information – magnetic clips
The ResMed AirFit F30i contains magnets that may interfere with certain implants or medical devices.
Masks containing magnetic components are contraindicated for certain users with active medical implants or particular metallic implants or objects. ResMed's published list includes pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, neurostimulators, cerebrospinal fluid shunts, insulin and infusion pumps, aneurysm clips, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, hearing and balance implants containing magnets, ocular implants and metallic splinters in the eye. The warning may also apply when someone in close physical contact with the mask user has an affected implant or medical device.
ResMed advises keeping the mask magnets at least 150 mm (6 inches) away from implants or medical devices that may be adversely affected by magnetic interference.
If you or someone in close physical contact with you has an implant or medical device and you are uncertain whether the magnetic warning applies, consult your doctor and the manufacturer of the implant or medical device.
A ResMed AirFit F30i Non-Magnetic Full Face CPAP Mask is also available for users who require a mask without magnets.
ResMed AirFit F30i FAQs
Is the ResMed AirFit F30i a full face CPAP mask?
Yes. The AirFit F30i is a full face hybrid CPAP mask. Its cushion sits underneath the nose and seals around the mouth rather than covering the bridge of the nose.
What is different about the AirFit F30i?
The F30i combines an under-the-nose full face cushion with a top-of-the-head tube connection. This keeps the CPAP tubing away from the front of the face while providing a wider field of vision than many traditional full face masks.
Does the AirFit F30i cover the bridge of the nose?
No. The AirFit F30i cushion sits underneath the nose and seals around the mouth, so nothing rests on the nasal bridge. This is what gives the mask its wide field of vision, and it is the main reason people move to it from a traditional full face mask.
Which size AirFit F30i should I order?
The F30i is sized by cushion and frame together. We stock Small cushion with Small frame, Small cushion with Standard frame, and Medium cushion with Standard frame. The frame size is set by your head and the cushion size by your nose and mouth, so mixing the two is normal.
Will the AirFit F30i work with my CPAP machine?
Yes. It uses a standard mask connection and works with ResMed, Philips, Löwenstein and other CPAP and bilevel devices. Set your machine's mask type to "Full Face".
How do I clean the AirFit F30i?
Wash the cushion daily in warm water with a mild liquid soap, and wash the headgear and frame weekly. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight. Do not use bleach, alcohol, or scented or antibacterial cleaners.
Please read the current ResMed AirFit F30i user guide, including contraindications, warnings and precautions, before using this mask.
