FAQs

The ResMed AirTouch N30i is a tube-up nasal mask with a difference: the frame and the cushion are covered in soft fabric rather than bare silicone. If silicone leaves marks on your face, feels clammy, or irritates your skin, this is the mask designed to solve that.

Fabric where other masks use silicone

The AirTouch N30i uses ResMed's ComfiSoft cushion — a silicone-coated fabric surface that sits against your skin, rather than the bare silicone edge used on most nasal masks. The SpringFit frame is wrapped in breathable, moisture-wicking fabric for the same reason.

The result is a mask that feels soft and dry against the face through the night, and is far less likely to leave the red pressure lines that come with a firm silicone seal.

Key features

  • ComfiSoft fabric cushion – silicone-coated fabric surface, soft against the skin.
  • Fabric-wrapped SpringFit frame – breathable and moisture-wicking, flexes to fit a range of face shapes.
  • Under-the-nose cushion – sits beneath the nose rather than over it, with no nasal bridge contact.
  • Top-of-the-head tube connection – keeps the hose above and behind you, out of your line of sight.
  • Integrated QuietAir vent – diffuses exhaled air quietly.
  • Quick-release elbow – disconnect from the tubing without removing the mask.
  • Interchangeable cushions – the frame also accepts the AirFit N30i silicone cushion and the AirFit P30i nasal pillows.
  • Genuine ResMed product, supplied complete with headgear.

AirTouch N30i or AirFit N30i?

Same frame platform, same tube-up design, same interchangeable cushion fitting. The difference is what touches your face:

  AirTouch N30i AirFit N30i
Cushion surface ComfiSoft fabric Silicone
Frame Fabric-wrapped Bare frame
Best for Sensitive skin, red marks, clamminess Most users; easier to wipe clean
Cleaning Hand wash the fabric cushion gently Wash daily in warm soapy water

Because the cushions are interchangeable, you can buy either mask and switch cushion type later without replacing the frame or headgear.

Who the AirTouch N30i suits

  • Anyone who gets red marks, soreness or irritation from a silicone cushion
  • People with sensitive or reactive skin
  • Those who find silicone masks feel hot or clammy overnight
  • Nose breathers who want minimal facial coverage
  • Side and front sleepers, and anyone bothered by hose drag
  • Glasses wearers and anyone who reads or watches television before sleep

Choosing your size

The AirTouch N30i is sized by cushion and frame together. The frame size is set by your head and the cushion size by your nose — so mixing the two is normal, not a mistake. We stock:

  • Medium cushion with Standard frame – the most commonly ordered combination
  • Medium cushion with Small frame
  • Large cushion with Standard frame

If you would rather try two cushion sizes before settling, the AirTouch N30i FitPack includes both a Medium and a Small Wide cushion with the frame.

Caring for a fabric cushion

A fabric cushion is looked after differently from a silicone one. Hand wash it gently in warm water with a mild liquid soap, press out the excess water without wringing, and let it air dry fully away from direct sunlight before the next use. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or use bleach, alcohol or scented cleaners.

As a general guide, replace the cushion every one to three months and the headgear every three to six months.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AirTouch N30i cushion memory foam?

No. That is the AirTouch F20 and AirTouch N20. The AirTouch N30i uses a ComfiSoft cushion — a silicone-coated fabric surface, not foam.

Can I use AirFit N30i cushions with this mask?

Yes. The frame accepts the AirFit N30i silicone cushion and the AirFit P30i nasal pillows, so you can switch cushion style without buying a new mask.

Which size should I order?

Medium cushion with Standard frame fits most adults. The frame size is determined by your head rather than your nose, so if you have used another 30i-series mask, order the same frame size.

Will it work with my CPAP machine?

Yes. It uses a standard mask connection and works with ResMed, Philips, Löwenstein and other CPAP and bilevel devices. Set your machine's mask type to "Nasal".

Do I need a prescription?

No prescription is required to order the AirTouch N30i from CPAPstudio.

Please read the current ResMed AirTouch N30i user guide, including contraindications, warnings and precautions, before using this mask.

Important

The warranty periods shown in the table above are our general warranty periods and apply only where a different warranty period has not been specified on the individual product page.

If the product page states a different warranty period — whether shorter or longer — the warranty stated on the product page will apply, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

For example, if a particular CPAP machine is advertised with a 3-year warranty, that 3-year warranty will apply instead of the general 2-year period shown above.

Similarly, certain accessories, batteries or specialist products may have different warranty periods. Where this is the case, the applicable warranty will be clearly stated on the relevant product page.

Please check the warranty information in the product description before purchasing. If no specific warranty is shown, the general warranty periods in the table above will apply.

All warranty cover is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not exclude, restrict or replace those rights.

The cushioned pillow is a game changer. Super comfortable and very low leak rate. Highly recommended.

This is the best one iv tried so far
The air tube is never in the way
And I'm a front sleeper
So it doesn't matter what side of my face is on the pillow
When one side is blocked the other side let's the air flow
For me this is a game changer
I have hated having to use a cpap machine
Because of the mask making it so hard to get a good night's sleep
I thought what's the point
When I'm more tired during the day than without one
The only but I can come up with is its not dog friendly
So now I've got to get another one
